How do we face with open eyes, hearts, and minds the condition of our society today and work effectively to make it better? How is our art a part of this process? How can our art play a role in this process for our community? This blog arises out of attempts to understand and answer these questions through conversations with friends, work on collaborative art shows and community projects, and searching for inspiration and alternative models to the corporate culture of war/alienation/dehumanization.

This blog is an attempt to further explore the ideas, inspirations, and theories that I am working with in an informal, brainstormish manner with the hope of contributing to a conversation amongst other artists, cultural workers, social progressives, etc.

This project arises most directly out of the “All or Nothin” show at the Belfry Center in South MPLS. Much respect to the folks who keep this special diy community space running. I’ll be posting some sketches and fliers and such until I get more actual images of the show.
